Why this VideoBlog?

About the author

Jim Kittridge has spent his career helping Financial Institutions understand what impact technology will have on their business. Gartner refers to him as a serial Innovator. He has worked for 5 of the worlds largest institutions in a variety of incredible roles, from designing a global bank transaction system to launching one of the most successful e-Commerce channels to leading innovation labs focused on bleeding edge technologies.

But do you really want to read my resume? I didn't think so. You can always go to my LinkedIn page (a link is on the homepage) for that. Most people want to know how I got to this point. Simple. I spent my career oscillating from senior technology roles including several stints as CIO to executive business roles. From Chief Architect to Chief Operating Officer to Special Advisor. I did not concern myself with titles or pay, but rather roles that had the potential to be groundbreaking. Banking and technology are not only my vocation but my passion. I have been incredibly fortunate in my career and now want to give something back.

VideoBlog

The VideoBlog came about because I see so many FI's struggling on the what and how to innovate. I figure it's time to give back some of my knowledge to our industry.

the Community

My goal is to attract thru the comments like minded folks from both FI's and technology companies who want to have a safe place to have a discussion on innovations in our industry, minus all the marketing hype.

Speaking Engagements

I am available to speak at your company, board or event. No, its not free, but its considerably less than former politicians ( a little joke). Some recent engagements include:
  • Gartner Symposium
  • Controller of the Currency
  • Numerous Board Meetings

the Book

My new book is coming in July of this year. The working title is Why Your Company Can't Innovate. it's a no holds barred look at the reasons why every CEO pleads with his company to be more innovative and most often attaining few tangible results. It will not be for the shy or the politically correct.
